I saw my gp the other day. I am on a pump and I mentioned, to her, the insulin pens, I keep for emergencies are around 5 years old and a bit wobbly. She ordered me 2 new pens. When I picked them up from chemist I was really pleased. She had ordered a red and a blue novopen echo, with the last units used displayed and how long ago it was given. I really love them. Does anyone use these pens? If so what do you think of them?:D

Yes, I have a novopen echo, I really like it too! So much better than the novopen 4 I had before - much easier to change cartridges and you can rewind if you dial up too many units. Also, if you are nearing the end of the cartridge, you can dial up to see how many units are left! 🙂

Good result, spiritfree - not all GPs are idiots, so it's good to give credit where credit it due, plus finding a decent, user-friendly, not wasteful, pen is a bonus.

It is a huge advantage having a decent doctor. I'm lucky if mine looks at me when I go and see him.

Thanks for replies. I really am so lucky with my gp. She is always ready to sit and listen and help. The only bad thing is, I have to book with her a couple of weeks before, to make sure I can get an appointment, because she is so popular, If it's urgent she will, usually, phone me, or anyone else needing her help, when she finishes surgery. She really is one in a million.:D

Hehe! I wonder if she is the same GP as mine, also wonderful? I have the same problem, although thankfully my appointments are not usually urgent, so I can book a couple of weeks ahead without a problem. 🙂
