Hi, Recently been feeling extremely tired in the mornings struggling to get going. Thought i might of been having night hypos as i was waking extremely tired and very hot. Done some testing and had the following results.

8pm had evening meal with novo rapid and bs 6.8
10pm 9.8 and had usual 4 units levemir
set alarm for 3 am reading bs 7.3
woke 6.30am 7.1
As i was feeling particularly tired i decided to test ketones and had a reading of 0.7, i know its not extremely high but not sure if it is high enough to be of concern, particularly if its happening regularly as ithink it is on how i feel. However after my bolus and breakfast i do perk up but not till about 10am, and this has been happening regularly.

Your overnight numbers look very stable. I tend to feel hungover and wake with a v bad headache when I have suspected a nighttime hypo. I know a lot if type ones also have thyroid problems, has it been checked recently.?

yeah, did have all the checks thyroid, vitamin d and b , all came back normal about 2-3 months ago

Doesn't really sound like night hypos, it looks like your BGs are pretty stable throughout the night, although your morning reading is a bit elevated (should between 4-6).

Ketones aren't really problem either -they're just a byproduct of fat metabolism and only a concern if you aren't getting sufficient insulin. It may be the recent weather is disrupting your sleep, or perhaps you're not getting enough calories.

Are you on statins?

Have you been tested for sleep aponea. This causes you to wake, without being aware of it, many times a night and so you don't get a real good deep sleep. It is usually connected with bad snoring. I don't know if this helps but with your symptems it might be worth asking gp about being tested.
