Try TEMU.COM they have loose fitting socks at very cheap prices. You have to sign up and setup a payment method and the wait is a couple of weeks ish

These socks in the Diabetes UK shop are designed for people who are experiencing swelling of legs or feet

Hope you find some comfy ones that suit you @Gwladys . Welcome to the forum!

I wear IOMI Footnurse diabetic gentle grip socks. I find them comfortable and don't squeeze my ankles.

Search for "iomi footnurse gentle grip diabetic socks"

I've never bought specialist socks, if they feel tight on legs usually just do a small cut at top to make them more comfortable.

Like a lot of things some of these specialist items for medical conditions are a complete rip off so tend to avoid.

Not a solution, but some useful advice regarding socks... :D

I spoke to my doctor, he’s a wily old fox,
And he gave me advice about how to wear socks.
Now, perhaps you’d expect that there’s only one way,
But apparently not, as he went on to say:
Since you’re diabetic (there’s a tick in the box)
Then you have to beware of all life’s little knocks,
So look after your feet, for they’re what help you stand,
And roam far and wide through this wonderful land!
It’s true that there’s nothing that’s so far from your mind,
For they’re much lower down than your chest or behind,
But follow my guidance and you’ll need both your boots
For perambulation and leisure pursuits!
Keep your feet warm, well-protected and clean,
And come in to see me if they swell or turn green!
Most important of all - and of this there’s no doubt –
Always remember, wear your socks inside out! :D

(Clarification - wearing socks inside out stops the seams from rubbing on the feet :D )

Cosyfeet do a good line in diabetic socks ie no seams loose tops and some good ones for very swollen feet like mine

I've just transferred from HJ Hall diabetic socks to GentleGrip, and find
a) they are very comfortable - I bought their bigger size (12-14) because my feet swell / have swollen, and the HJ Hall ones were getting too tight
b) for "IOMI FootNurse + Gentle Grip 6 pairs Men's BigFoot Diabetic Socks" for £16.99 they are much cheaper than most other "diabetic" socks, so I bought 30 pairs...
I note that Tezzz also recommends these.

Thanks for the heads-up John, I have just put an order in myself :¬) (I didn't go so far as 30 pairs though! LOL)
