Relationship to Diabetes

I went on the DAFNE course this week and they said that they had never seen anyone with gastroparesis have such good BGs and that it was all credit to me which was lovely to hear. Obviously though my BGs are not as good as those for a diabetic without gastroparesis. The people running the course therefore spoke to the consultant who looked at my notes and spoke to me straight after DAFNE finished. She said that she was going to put in a request straightaway to the PCT for a pump for me and that I might get it just after Christmas :D:D:D I am so happy
 
That's fantastic news Amanda! 🙂 And well overdue, in my opinion - what a Christmas present! You might want to tell them how much the sensors have helped you also 😉

That must feel good, to have your efforts recognised. And light at the end of the tunnel re the pump as well - hope it comes through really soon for you.

Good news you'll get your pump soon - sounds like Jan 2013 and subsequent months will be busy with getting to grips with it 🙂
