Any ideas?. I have decreased my amount for brekkie (One slice of burgen bread and glass of soya milk) but i am quite peckish by 10.30.

my fasting Bg was 11.2 and after brekkie its 12.9 .

I have a snack at about 9:30 am (midway between breakfast at 7 and lunch at 12).

I've been using either nuts (walnuts, cashews, smoked almonds, pistachios), avocado's or occasionally a small fruit.

I often have a tub near me with chopped up celery/courgette if I want to graze a little.

I do an afternoon snack as well. That is more often either a small fruit or a ryvita (with or without a soft cheese spread depending how I feel).

Another vote for small fruit - satsuma or similar small easy peel citrus fruit ir kiwifruit. Takes a wee while to open, which seems to make the effect of eating last slightly longer. All pretty low in CHO, with vitamins.

I usually have Nairns oatcakes if I'm peckish mid-morning. With a smearing of Marmite (not much cop if you're vegan of course!)

Yes oatcakes are vegan so is marmite. Ive just had 4 mini oatcakes with an early lunch. thanks.🙂

I never realised Marmite was vegan, but of course it's a yeast extract.

I think I was getting it mixed up with Bovril 😱

Thanks folks I will grab a few brazil nuts..

Or an apple..🙂

There's quite a carb difference between an apple and brazil nuts, so mind your blood sugar readings 🙂
