Snacks to help dawn phenomenon?

Hi all

In an attempt to get my morning readings down (this should be the lowest reading, but for me is often one of my highest) I am going to try having a snack before bedtime. Does anyone else do this and if so any ideas on a low carb/fat/cal snack?

I have the same problem, my morning BG is always the highest of the day between 8 and 9, but rest of the day between 4 and 5. If you find a solution to the problem let me know please 🙂 I've tried everything I can think ofto no avail, only thing I've not tried is beer and spirits because I don't like the stuff 🙂

Will keep trying! Wine obviously doesn't work for me, as my reading always a wee bit higher after a glass or 2 the night before! It may be that a snack won't work at all, just wonder if it does for some! Katie🙂
 
wine works for me 😛 but I only have 2 glasses of wine on a Saturday night.... and don't bother the rest of the week (well rarely bother).

my DSN recommended a ginger biscuit at bedtime... so I tried that and found that it works fairly well with a dark hot choc drink :D but then I cut out the biscuit last night (to try to help with weight-loss) and had a higher reading again :(
 
There's been a fair bit of research to say vinegar works, so am going to try pickles tonight! Hubby will love it!😱 :D
