Good luck with this Eddie. I stopped cold turkey more than 38 years ago, but have had spells if having too much alcohol where I cadged a fag. Stopped when at asthma check I told the nurse this. She was quite snitty (but honest) and said I couldn’t then class myself as a non smoker

Thanks Carol. I've given up twice before, over the decades, and each time it was pretty much one fag when drinking & when I'd thought I was home free, which was enough to see me start again. Third time's a charm, hopefully!

You can do this, Team Eddy for the win.

Aye, Eddy, best of luck with the vaping. As I said, it’s the easiest way to wean yourself off nicotine with no unpleasant side effects. Don’t rush it, reduce the nicotine strength every 6 weeks or thereabouts. By the end of a few months, you will be vaping no nicotine- and it will be easy to give that up. Or not, it doesn’t matter🙂

My prob with vaping is the fact it doesn't feel like a fag in my mouth - it's a horrid alien lump of plastic that I consider nasty. But unless you do, your hands have nowt to do, which is the only thing wrong with nicotine patches - they don't keep your hands occupied!
