I presume there's not a smart man's guide because they haven't found enough of us to interview yet? :D

Sounds like an excellent idea to get the patient's perspective, rather than the idealised medical form that often bears no relation to real life.🙂

I note that it's published in New York, so obviously will have a USA perspective.

I bet she doesn't mention the importance of a pocket full of fruit pastilles and ability to paddle on your first date after getting diabetes - when a guy asks you out kayaking. Never dated anyone since, as we've been together over 12 years! Too old for parenthood, so I bet she doesn't say anything about raising cat, chipmunks, emperor moths, ducks & veggies, either!
 
If she had known you Copepod she would have spoken to you and you might have got a mention.:D
 
Hi, just had to report back that I bought this book and from what I've read already, it is great!! Quite nice change from the more 'medical' 'techie' books, and nice to just read about people's experiences.

I love it and can't put it down! 🙂
