Looks great that. Amazing how things are moving on so quickly, esp with nano technology.

Do you remember the one a few years back, used a glass lens surgically inserted under your existing lens, used uv to get a reading. Don't think that one took off.

I wouldn't bet on it ever appearing. The story's from the Daily Mail online and (as the story mentions) a Google-related company recently gave up doing this. It all looks like a proof of concept thing rather than something that just needs a few years of testing.

The linked research article (which I hadn't noticed before): https://advances.sciencemag.org/content/6/17/eaba3252

Not if you cant wear contact lens!

I used to wear contacts, really helpful for riding, but had to stop after getting corneal ulcers twice in the same place.

Not for me either

I’ve got a Libre which can forestall any upcoming problems in a lot less time than fitting a contact lens. Cheaper too, I’d guess.

Yeh, looks like a non starter. They've got problems calibrating it. Good luck to them though, at least they are trying to help people.

Yep, the libre is going to take some beating! Technically and on price.

I made a joke on another thread (about testing with saliva) that this story hadn't cropped up again for a while - lo and behold, here we are! 🙄 Several years now since I first saw it suggested.

Google tried to make it work for a while... but perhaps they lacked the necessary investment capital? 😉

Sarcasm ill becomes you, Mike. Anyway, that’s my job😡:D

It’s more like Google realised that they were throwing good money after bad.
