Hello all,
At the age of 36 I was a fit healthy active person, by the age of 38 just 2 years, I became completely numb over 90% of my body, my hands, arms, legs, feet, face and forehead were giving me an incredible pain. I was put on high levels of morphine but my pain was still 8 out of 10. Fast forward to present day I'm in almost the same pain. It has always been put down to diabetic neuropathy, I can no longer walk, i sleep on the floor with no covers, I'm going blind, recently I've lost a lot of my hearing. My Neurosurgeon has in the last year has diagnosed me with Small Fibre Sensory Neuropathy. I can find very little on this condition, I wanted to find other people with this diagnosis. I would love to be someone's guinea pig and look more into my symptoms eg why did it come on so quick leaving me crippled and totally reliant on my wife who is my full time carer. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, however I can only just about hold a stylus to type and I have to syc myself up each time I use my tablet to type.
Best Regards
Darren
