I need to eat more carbs than are ideal for diabetes, 'cos I need the calories. I need to consume approx 3000 cal daily to maintain my weight, with my strange physiology. Yet I want to try avoid those spikes after eating. I dont have a stomach, therefore I have no stomach acid. This means that the bacteria in my gut know how to party and produce vast quantities of gas😱. I take antibiotics which reduce the symptoms, but at times it can be rather embarrassing😳.
Slow release carbs, most veg and dairy contribute majorly to the gas problem. There is a limit to how much protein I can eat! I really don't like nuts.
Has anyone any bright ideas how I can help myself?
