Does anyone go to slimming world? If so what difference is it for diabetes?

Depends what you eat. From what I remember they used to advise pretty much unlimited rice/pasta and fruit etc which isn't low carb but some people go for low calorie so it depends on your approach and what your body can tolerate.

Slimming world was far too high in carbs for me so just followed my own diet changes.

I did slimming world for years. I lost a lot of weight but ate so much rice, pasta and potatoes. Once I was diagnosed I had to hugely adapt the plan to pretty much remove all those carbs.

Never done diet, wife did it 3 years ago after getting told she was prediabetic, lost 5 stone in total & reversed condition & has managed to keep weight off, she now follows SW maintenance plan but not strictly might add.
