Relationship to Diabetes

I have noticed that I developed a problem with sleep. I can't sleep more than six hours. Yestesay I have gone in bed at 11, and this morning at 5 was awake, and because of august I can't blame the first tram of the day waking me up, but when happen I am normally able to sleep an hour or so.

I am on vacation at home and I could sleep what I like. But nope...

Any idea if this could be correlated to diabetes?

Anyway I booked the visit to the DM, and will be a new one because I wasn't able to book on the previous ambulatory, So I'll go in the one near me, that actually is the one that should follow me....

Nope, it’s not due to diabetes. So many factors can affect your sleep patterns, but if you can sleep for 6 hours that shouldn’t affect you. It’s probably being on vacation. If you wake and it’s light outside, go for a walk or a bike ride while the rest of the city is still snoozing.

I wish I could sleep for six hours! I’ve never slept properly for nearly 40 years! As we get older I definitely think we don’t need as much sleep. We’ve done all our growing. Embrace the early mornings, get up and relax with a coffee and the newspaper or a book. That’s what I do rather than tossing and turning in bed trying to get back to sleep.

I slept 11 hours last night, apart from a short break to watch the lightning flashing all around along with all the thunder. Great fun.

I’ve got the opposite problem to everyone else. 10-12 hours is the new normal, and it’s abnormal.

I could file in "the weirdest year in my life".
I could practice piano, tried it and works better than in the evening, Having a digital stage piano i listen with headphones and don't wake up all the condo,...

2.38, I'm not asleep, for me it's the heat. I have a fan on a timer switch and when I have slept the last few nights I've woken up feeling hot and reset the fan. Of course stretching out to reset the fan is activity so doesn't help either!

I am also unable to sleep. I'm usually up at this time 3am. Would love to blame it on the heat but this happens all year round. Would love to get a decent 7 or 8 hrs rest, hate to think what this is doing to my body and health long term...😳 I'm already overweight BMI 30.7

Sleep it seems is a problem for most people. Remember someone once saying "lack of sleep never killed anybody" someone now will probably contradict that statement. My sleep pattern has been haphazard for over 40years. When i worried about sleep, not long after i finished working from ill health. I was awake all night then catnapped throughout the day. The specialist from the pain clinic told me that for some reason that is the norm for most patients. Your body clock seems to switch in effect turning you into a giant nocturnal mouse. Best statement i heard that summed the situation up." You're not running late for a train,or clocking in at the factory are you". Definately not due to diabetes. Best advice is the more you worry about SLEEP. either way 12 hours 6 hours 3 hours etc..... the worse it becomes. Myself i sleep when i sleep.
