Skin reactions?

Hiya - we have a number of Type 3cs around these parts! However, i think most of them are treated as if they were Type 1, hence with normal T1 insulin regimes because Metformin and other T2 drugs do absolutely nothing whatsoever to help. Wonder why they are treating you as if you had Type 2 ?

Well some people do have reactions to the adhesive, me no. However, there are 'barrier' preparations on the market which people with more sensitive skin can get to prevent this. Different pump companies use different adhesives and until a person tries em, they won't know if they do or don't adversely react. So far I've only had two Roche pumps myself so presumably they use the same sticky on their cannulas now as they did 10 years ago when I had the first one.

I’ve been lucky to have very few reactions to infusion sets, but when I was on my previous pump I came out in a reaction to the sensor overtapes and had to use a different tape.

I think some people are more sensitive to different devices than others
