Hi everyone I was wondering whether anyone has been taking Sitagliptin (Januvia)? I have just been prescribed this as I put on a lot of weight taking Gliclazide. I know this tablet is only once a day and was wondering whether what would be the best time of day to take? Also if you have experienced any side effect:confused:s?

I am on it. I haven't noticed any side effects, but I find it pays to read the patient information leaflet that comes with them.

My understanding is it doesn't matter when you take it as long as you take it atthe same time each day and you don't have to take it with food either.

Hello,
I've been on Sitagliptin since being diagnosed nearly two years ago. I am also on Gliclazide, but haven't put any weight on with this. I take the Sitagliptin in the morning with a Gliclazide tablet (I've also recently gone onto insulin), but was told I could take the Sitagliptin at any time of the day - I just find it more convenient to take it in the morning. No side effects at all! Good luck with it 🙂
