Yeah! After what seems like a lifetime my BG levels had been in single figures for the whole day - 7.3 average. Having been in the mid to late 20s for the last 18 months I'm over the moon - I feel like a new woman. I know i'll have good and bad days but this feels like a breakthrough. Just wanted to share!:D

Terrific news Beck just what all us diabetics want to see single figures, long may it continue x

That's excellent news Becky. It will make a huge difference to your life now and in the future.

What was causing your high BGs previously ?

Rob

Not sure Rob, was diagnosed as type 2 initially. In the end was on max doses of metformin and gliclazide and following strict diet and BG just kept rising. The insulin's working a treat tho!

Thanks for the support everyone. Must say it's helped me gazillions being able to read about others experience and advice on here everyday. Thank you!! x

Congratulations! I was diagnosed type 2 in May so this is still all pretty new to me. I seemed to be in control but the last few days I have not felt as well and from my breath it is clear that my BG level is up. Why? Not a clue.

Hi Bill, welcome to the forum 🙂 Are you able to test your levels to see if they are high?
