Another diabetic milestone met as I have had my first sickness bug. It started about 9pm last night and I was last sick about 7am. It is no fun drinking coke and vomiting is it? I was low until the vomiting stopped and then rose slowly to about 11. I have corrected and have been 7 or 8 so since lunchtime. I m a bit scared of going low again as I have cowardly tendencies so will stick with his for now. Just had a brew and if. Keep that down I will try some toast.
Any top tips from the wise ones?

Sorry to hear that you've not been well, I hope that you are definitely now improving. Personally if I was vomiting I would keep my BG close to 10 - ideally not much higher nor much lower - but that's probably because I've battled vomiting whilst hypo a couple of times and it was very scary.

Hope you will soon feel alot better. I wonder if it was the Norovirus that I read about in yesterdays paper. They say it has started earlier this year.

Here's an example of Sick Day Rules for diabetes treated with insulin: http://www.diabetesuffolk.com/managingdiabetes/Sick day rules.htm

Oral rehydration drinks are generally better absorbed than cola etc. Several brands of sachets are sold in chemists eg Dioralyte, chemists' & supermarkets' own brands etc.

Or get a sugar / salt measuring spoon and make your own eg http://www.talcuk.org/accessories/sugar-and-salt-measures-language-english.htm (and consider donating to TALC charity, so they can send spoons to families in developing countries, where they save lives)

You're right it was very scary. Took 4 mini cans of coke to stay above 4 and i never made it into the 5s until I stopped being sick this morning.

Never thought of that. I suppose it is winter now. A friend had something similar on Sunday so I assume I got it off her
