Sick :(

I keep on being sick and having the runs and all I got told when you are sick is to keep taking your insulin but I am unsure about that?
As Fast acting insulin needs carbs to work or else it would just send my blood sugars low. ?

What can I do, as I am struggling to even think of eating.?

Blood sugars were 6.5 mmol/l so as they were in range I didn't do any ketone testing..
Should I?

yes as far as I'm aware if your ill you are meant to check for ketones and follow the sick day rules x

It explains sick day rules quite well, I think.
For more info on how various other members have coped, type 'sick day rules' into the search box at the top right hand side of the screen, and have a browse.
(I've never been given ketone testing strips, or told to test for them, I don't think they should be a problem unless your glucose levels start rocketing, and remaining high)

Just did a ketone test and they were 0.4

Keep regular testing of both ketones and bs. Try and keep your fluids up and follow sick day rules

You can get ketones without high blood sugar (I’ve ended up with dka without my blood sugars going up).
