So I don't know how to feel because earlier this afternoon I was offered just 1 toffee a chewy caramel 3g of carbs - I had it and enjoyed it.
I'm having a chinese takeaway prawn fried rice for tea tonight that my hubby has treated me to - I will use nutracheck because you can add your own weight in and I will weigh my first bit of rice out on its own then put some of the prawns on top and enjoy then I will do the same with my next lot of rice then when I've finished I will do my bolus then........4 hours later I will do my bedtime test an probably find out I need a small bedtime snack. Tonight if I've gone to bed earlier than 4 hours I will set an alarm.
Should I be feeling guilty about having the toffee and my chinese?

Personally, I think no one should ever feel guilty about eating.
Thank you and in my case lol about what they're eating because at least it's better than not eating

Gill - was it nice? If I fancy a sweet when they're offered - I have one, same as I'll have eg. a 99 cone if we happen to go anywhere they're available too. No Way do I ever feel guilty. Went to a couple of seaside places last week and no sign of soft ice cream and I have to say I was disappointed!

Thank you so much for your kind comment.

No never feel guilty about eating and enjoying food, esp but not only because you have T1 .
I hope you enjoyed your meal and the toffee.

Thanks for your kind comment @Ljc - I enjoyed my meal and my toffee although I had the toffee in between lunch and tea and didn't check my bgl before I had the toffee.

Glad you enjoyed your meal.
I wouldn’t have checked my bg for 3ish g of carbs either.

Oh for a 99.
I had the most delish lolly last night made with real Scottish raspberries , oh wow , 13 g carb it was well with the extra unit .
Got three more left in the pack o_O

Gill, if you had eaten a whole bag of toffees you might have had reason to feel guilty, one (or maybe even 2 or 3, still less than 10g), absolutely NOT!

Your chinese is something you have regularly, and have worked out how to deal with it, so why feel guilty about that?

Have a guilt-free day!

Neither would I - nor an ice cream to be honest - even though I know that's always a fair bit more than 3g. Never killed me yet just correcting before next time I have a meal!
Actually I must confess to any diabetic police that I took the risk again today and had 1 scoop of mint choc chip ice cream without no insulin - the brand name was one I've never heard of - I checked on nutracheck when I got home for scoops of ice cream and 1 says 5g of carbs and the other says 11g of carbs so a slight bit of variation there but I will do what I used to do often (which sounds bad really) and if it's needed I'll correct at teatime.

Ps having food without insulin isn't going to be a habit.
