Private companies including Lloyds Group, Tesco and E.On have signed a government-backed campaign promising to become more ?dementia friendly?.


The Prime Minister said basic training would be available online to help everyone understand how to respond to people with dementia.


As many as 30,000 teenagers taking part in the national citizen service volunteer scheme this summer should offer their services to local care homes, he said.


Mr Cameron made the announcement as part of dementia awareness week during a meeting with the Government?s experts on tackling the disease.
