A shock rise in the number of people suffering from diabetes in Northern Ireland has the potential to bankrupt the NHS here, it has been warned.
Diabetes UK Northern Ireland has released shocking new figures revealing that the number of people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes has increased by 33% in Northern Ireland during the last five years, compared to 25% in England, 20% in Wales and 18% in Scotland.
