I have just injected my 3rd Bydurion and my glucose readings are already becoming much lower in the 6 and 7 ranges. I have been having a bit of nausea but not an awful lot. I tried Byetta and did not really get on with it, I had very bad nausea and upset stomachs. I also went on Victoza and had a headache like I have never had in all my life. Bydurion I am hoping will really work for me as I am very overweight, weighing 15 stone and only 5ft. 2 inches tall is a worry. Anyone else losing weight as this is something I am really hoping for.🙂

Welcome to the forum, you've come to the right place. There are lots out there far more knowledgeable about meds, so I'll leave comments about your regime to them.

As for weight loss as a T2, that on its own can help with your BG control. With help and support from the group I've dropped nearly 5 stone in 9 months and my last HbA1C was just inside non-D range. You too can do it. Have a read of the threads in the Weight Loss Group.

Hi Shirley Norma, welcome to the forum 🙂 Glad to hear the Bydureon is working for you - long may it continue! 🙂

Hi Shirley - I was on Byetta but made me very sick and now on Victoza. I did get a bad headache for the first 3 days but then it went and can hardly tell I am taking it now - except for the good work it is doing on my bs and hypos.

When I first took Byetta I could not believe after just one injection how good it was at bringing my bs down - luckily the same seems to be happening with victoza and have jsut had my hba1c back at 6%.

Good luck with it.

just taken my 2nd Bydurion pen injection 3 days ago and felt nauseous on the first but not the 2nd. Interested to know how you’ve been getting on. Was there much weight loss using this method. Thanks.

Welcome Shirley, one of the unexpected bonuses of cutting out carbs and walking my neighbours dog has been weight loss. Ironic as pre diagnosis I followed slimming world but just couldn’t shift more than a couple of pounds....now I’m down two notches on my belt and can’t wait to be weighed at my next diabetic appt next month 😉

@Jaycee10 , Shirley made just the one post, over 5 years ago, so unlikely to see your post!
