ever since the virus hit i got a letter from gov to shield from day one but due to circumstances looking after partner and through getting no help i had no choice but to go out to buy food. yes i was upset and very worried esp been in a hot spot area.

sadly i was not alone in our area for not receiving no help, warden ran a mile and the very thing which people relied on had shut its doors, this was serious as we have a lot of elderly. over the weeks i had never seen so many disabled and elderly outside the local shop some very distressed.

well i battled on even when feeling under the weather, yes i shouldn't of had to go out like this but no help no choice so i then opted to get tested.

what has amazed me is that through out all of this just keep up with distancing and washing hands my test came back negative, have now been asked to participate in a study.

yes there is still the risk of getting the virus and this must all ways be kept in my mind but what i don't understand is how me as a person with not so good health have avoided contracting the virus where other poor souls contracted and for many not survived.

is it the social distancing and hygiene or something else? . could it be some of the medications i am on as i have seen that some of what i was taking were been trailed. who knows

well apart from the diabetes been the rubbish norm for me not much else to report accept i am still alive and still caring.

Really sorry to hear that you have not had any help. It must be particularly difficult for you as a carer. Who knows why some people get the virus and others don't? I am glad that you have not caught it. This is probably because you have been careful and diligent. Wish I lived nearer and could help you. Stay safe and look after yourself.

No one is a greater risk of catching the virus than anyone else, so long as they take the appropriate precautions. But some people have a much greater risk of needing hospital treatment if they do get infected, which is why those with certain medical conditions have been advised to shield.

So it will likely be a combination of both you and your neighbours all taking the necessary precautions to protect each other.

To me its all down to common sense which you are using, social distancing and good hygiene being the biggest two.
I think when we start to come through this and questions start to get asked about why people caught this, if they can somehow trace it back, apart from the obvious with frontline workers who sadly died ( R.I.P. Angels ) the rest i imagine a big percentage will trace back to some sort of selfishness by a family member or themselves. With supermarket contact being a close second....this is just my opinion though.

after having the test be blown there was a news article that even with a negative reading it is still possible to have had the virus.

i only opted for the blood test as loads of us fell ill just before the virus struck and after that i kept getting weird niggles.

it does state in the doctors message that if i do come down with what i think is covid symptoms then i can get a fresh test.

as for hygiene oh man think my hands are raw with so much washing. just been issued with some stuff what they use in hospitals for scrub ups, just need to be careful as i don't want it to strip my skin off 😳

any way busy later with cleaning down then this afternoon after waiting what seems like an eternity am going to be discussing physio, will be interesting to see how they do that down a phone line.

for now take care people out there.
