Hi Sheena , just wondered how little Grace and the whole family have been doing since her diagonsis ? 🙂

Aaaawww thank you Jenny for thinking about little Grace. She is doing well and her BS levels have come down. Her BS, yesterday, was 5.9 before breakfast and 5.9 before lunch. So she is going from strenght to strenght and she loves Rufus bear, HE had his injection yesterday as well.
We are all coping very well and I don't feel so bad injecting her now, but I still find it sad, 2 months on.
Thank you again Jenny, you're a star. Sheena

So pleased to her little Grace is doing so well .. :D

Great news that Grace is doing so well x

Glad to hear you are all adjusting to it so well. She is a brave little girl, and lucky to have such a wonderful family

Sheena , thats great news and Grace is the star she has done so well , and well done for you and your family coping to well and being a massive support 🙂

I'm so pleased to hear that Grace is doing so well Sheena. What a brave little thing she is. I guess you'll always feel a bit sad about the fact that she has this thing to deal with, it's a loving granny's way. Take care and hugs to Grace. XXXXX

I'd be devastated if any of ours became diabetic - I was lucky and never had to cope with it as a child (was 22) and always say I'm really glad about that cos I'm sure in the 50's/60's it wouldn't have been much fun.

Although a girl at work said the only other diabetic she'd ever known so far, was a girl she was at school with and she used to be jealous of her cos apparently, she got much nicer school dinners! Of course once she grew up a bit and understood more, then she felt awful feeling jealous. Kids !!

Thanks everyone for your lovely replies. Grace likes me to use my finger pricker on her, Nana's big one, as she calls it. Her mum and dad have taken everything in their stride and have just got on with it. I know she is my youngest grandaughter, but she is one strong and brave little girl, and I admire her sooooooooooooo much. But I better watch out when she gets older! she knows what she likes and dislikes already 😉 Grace is 3 in September, 2 days after my dad, her great-grandad. A HUGE thank you again :D Sheena xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Glad to hear Grace is doing so well. She sounds like a brave little angel, brilliant results too 🙂 She is a lucky girl to have such a lovely Nana
