I went onto the insulin pump highly recommend it! problem is I can't get a sharps bin prescribed that will fit the infusion devices, my old GP gave me one of theirs which was enormous and lasted me a whole year.

I have a new GP and of course they won't play ball, Ive been told by the GP that she will make some phone calls and see what can be done. In the meantime I have a glass jar which is full already and the needle clips won't work on these devices because of the shape. (NW London)

They wreckon diabetes is becoming more common in the UK so why do they make everything so difficult. 😡 Urrgh!!

Hi Mermaid

Welcome to the forum! 🙂

Which pump do you use? I use an animas, and they supply a 5L sharps bin as the infusion kits are too big to fit in the one you normally get from the GP - you just ring them up and they send one out. 🙂 I'm not sure about the other pump types.
