Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I have diabetes 2, and I have severe night sweats, 2/3/ or 4 every night. I was diagnosed Oct.2023 with a Neuroendocrine tumour on my small intestine. I also have low thyroid, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure, for which I take medication. For my diabetes, I take 2 Metformin in the morning, then another 2 Metformin in the evening. These sweats are simply awful, having to creep around in the night, so as not to wake my Husband. Changing my side of the bed, also my nightdress. It's bad enough my sleep being disturbed, and dragging myself through the day, but I am always so tired. All tests have been done at the hospital, and they are fine. The hospital thought the sweats were hormonal, but when my hormones were tested, they were fine. If there is anyone who has, or has had, a similar problem, I would be so grateful if they could help me. Thank you.

Really sorry to hear you are experiencing such unpleasant symptoms and it is clearly having a significant impact on your health and wellbeing with it disturbing your sleep so much.
Have you tried testing your Blood Glucose (BG) levels when this happens to see if it is related to your diabetes. If it is because your BG levels are very high or very low, which can both cause sweating, then there are things you can do to try to prevent it, but you need to know which it is or perhaps neither in which case you need to look at other causes, but testing your BG at these times is a simple means of establishing if it is or isn't diabetes related.

High blood glucose can interfere with the body's temperature regulation mechanism so causes the people to be abnormally hot or in some cases cold.
What is your blood glucose management like?
