Hi Nette, welcome to the forum 🙂 Everything is so uncertain at the moment :( Are you OK and do you have supplies of medication and food in? I'm trying to limit my trips outdoors as much as possible, at least until we know a lot more about how the land lies.

You don't need to be alone here though, it's a very friendly group of people, and whilst it's a diabetes support forum we do chat about all sorts, so have a good browse around. Let us know if we can help in any way and we'll be more than happy 🙂

Welcome to the forum @Nette

Try to remain calm. Be careful about social distancing, but don’t feel to have to fully isolate if that is having a detrimental effect on your mental health.

A few simple steps and precautions mean you can continue to go outside relatively safely and still keep in line with the current guidance - depending on whether you have other vulnerabilities.

Hiya @Nette - Its a worrying/sad time for all at the moment. I miss my grand kids already (even though i had a nice 10 min face-time with them on Sunday, just before their bedtime!) - I think we just have to concentrate on the 'moment' or we will worry ourselves sick with all the' what ifs'- Just try to listen to the advice we are given and adopt a little extra care with our surroundings when out and about. Its all any of us can do.

Do you have a garden - able to get outside and enjoy this little bit of sunshine we are currently getting? I got my coat on today and went and sat out there with a cup of tea and my sunglasses on, just enjoying the spring flowers and watching my cat basking. It made me smile.

Hi, thank you for your lovely response.
I also have a young granddaughter who I was able to see via a video call yesterday along with we are so lucky that we have all this technology at hand, especially being able to keep updated throughout this situation
The sun has been lovely of late and we’ve been able to enjoy our gardens too.
You paint a lovely picture of being in your garden with a cuppa and taking in the beauty of the season along with your little cat
we have been self isolating for 12 days now but are lucky to have relatives that help and shops to deliver our groceries, so we’re doing ok. I have a puzzle on the go at the moment which helps take my mind off things
Take care
