A NORTH-EAST MP is backing a campaign to encourage people to take a quick and easy diabetes test.
Phil Wilson, MP for Sedgefield in County Durham, took the test, which is available for free at many pharmacies, during the Silver Star Diabetes Health Challenge at the House of Commons in London.
He also pledge to become the charity?s diabetes ambassador for Sedgefield and to undertake a pedometer challenge, which will see him compete against other MPs to take the most steps before World Diabetes Day on November 14.
