Hi All,

My second annual HBA1c came in today and was 6.6% / 49mmol which i was told was 'acceptable' - still have to go in for the 20 minute check up later this month.

6.4% last year, so some work to do boo! 🙂

It may be a little raised, but it's still within range. I wouldn't panic till next time you have it done, if it's gone up again I reckon that would be the time to discuss your treatment options with your medical team. I wish I couold get mine down that far.

Indeed thanks 🙂 I was actually quite excited to be 1% away from the NICE guidelines until i checked last years score gah.

It's excellent that you have maintained your level a year on 🙂 As Alison says, many people are unable to achieve your levels so you are doing well. Bear in mind also that it isn't a reflection of the whole year, just the 6-12 weeks prior to the test blood being taken, so it may be that, had it been measured at some other time, it would have been lower! 🙂

Keaver well done an hbA to be proud of I say.
