Is anyone else having a problem with their screen keep freezing. It only does it on this site, not anyth8ng else at all on my iPad?
@everydayupsanddowns any advice?

Yes Its happening to me too.

That happens to me occasionally. I just log out then log back in again. It’s not persistent. Don’t know whether it’s peculiar to iPads, and it’s not happening often enough to discern whether it’s at a certain time of day.

The last couple of Saturday mornings, there’s been half an hour to an hour round about 9am when I either couldn’t get on, or couldn’t load the next page, I got one of those vague messages that the server was having problems, or that there were too many people using the site.
I'm on an iPad.

Yes I’ve noticed that, just during the last week or so. Usually as soon as I visit the site it hangs, does recover if I wait patiently enough but it's a bit annoying! Shutting down my browser and restarting doesn’t make any difference. It's nothing to do with logging in as i don’t usually bother unless I want to post something, if I'm just browsing I don’t. Doesn’t happen on any other website. I’m on an iPad too

Yes that’s exactly the problem I’m having

It’s been happening a lot recently & not just on my iPad; my MacBook Pro & iPhone too! Some photos don’t load either & I can’t see what members posted but, come back on another time & the photos DO load; all just a bit dodgy recently about seeing things on this site, getting booted off suddenly & can take ages before I can get back on? 🙄

Hi. I've never had a problem with this site with screen freezing but I use a fast desktop with cable connection to the router. I suspect it could be your Wi-Fi or broadband?

When mine won’t load, I usually check if it’s the Wifi by going on other websites, which normally load at the usual speed.

Which web browser are you using?

Yes, it’s been happening a lot for me over the last week or so very roughly. It freezes, it won’t load the page, I click on a thread and nothing happens. It’s very, very slow and much harder to use.

Snap! @Inka. Screen-freeze every time I browse the forum.

Screen-freeze every time I browse the forum.
I suggest following the usual advice to clear all the cached data and things. On an iPad that's in Settings under Safari, and there's also "Website Data" in the Advanced section.

Careful! I don’t necessarily want to clear my browsing history and regular-use sites. o_O :D

Yes other sites seem fine, just this one but who knows!! Perhaps just a glitch

The Website Data part is per-site so you can just clear this site's data. But yes, the rest (cookies and history and things) seems to be a general thing so could be annoying. (In desktop browsers it's possible to clear cookies more selectively but it doesn't seem to be on the iPad.)

Never. Though pages sometimes take a bit of time to finish loading on my android tablet.
I'm using mobile data exclusively, both for tablet & desktop PC.

Sorry to hear you’ve been having problems with the forum website @SueEK

I usually browse with an ipad using Safari and haven’t had any problems.

I’ll mention it to the forum architect and see if he knows what it might be.
