Hi, I am new here, I have type 2 for a number of years, and doing ok, I need to loose weight and drink less which I am working on.
My question is this:
I sleep just in boxers and unknown to me in the night I scratch one leg with the other and create a scratch... I have multiple scratches on both legs and once they are kinda healed I have not scares but marks that outline the scratches...
Is there anything I can take or use to get rid of these?
Appreciate any help...

You could try Bio Oil (it’s not cheap nor is it oily) on the marks providing the scratches have healed. , I’ve used it several times once on a red mark that I’d hadfor around a ye caused by a burn, it faded it really fast and now all I have is a feint white scar . You can get it in most chemists and some supermarkets .

I am wondering why you are rubbing your legs together like that while sleeping, could it be dry skin making them itch, if so moisturising before bed may help prevent the itch and rubbing.

.... and perhaps cutting toe nails since that is the only thing I can think of which would actually scratch the skin enough to mark it... unless you have really hard dry skin on your feet which again should be rasped and moisturised if that is the case.... keeping feet skin smooth and supple is important for us diabetics
Afraid I can't think of anything to suggest to take the marks away but prevention is always better than cure.

Hi, yes I have become aware of this and I do trim them every couple of weeks, thanks for the advise..

Hi, Thanks for the advise I will certainly look into it and I appreciate your help...
 
A few months after diagnosis when I had lowered my Hba1c to below diabetic levels my skin improved a lot, it softened and became more supple, and I could stop wearing trousers and long socks to save my skin from scratches - not only was I a lot more able to control the garden, my skin seemed less likely to be injured, and what minor scratches I got healed up very quickly.
 
What are your BG levels like generally? Delayed healing can be an indication of elevated BG, which you might want to talk to your Dr about if it’s happening long-term?
