School nurses to work with diabetes school kit

School nurses will soon have access to a type 1 diabetes toolkit, which has been compiled and released by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The pack, ?Talking T1 - Learning about Type 1 diabetes? has been put together by the charity to help schools provide support to pupils affected by the condition.

Much needed i say , good for staff with diabetes too , at present where i work no children with diabetes but i am one of 3 members of staff with diabetes (that i know of) and nobody has any real idea of what to do if we take ill , have tried to explain but noone willing to take responsibility so they have decided just to call an ambulance if im taken ill
