Fifteen year old George, who lives with type 1 diabetes, has just returned from Hawaii where he received a prestigious international award for his dedication to supporting those that live with type 1 diabetes.
George Dove was flown to the Pacific Island to be awarded the Bakken Invitation Honouree from Medtronic, for the outstanding contribution that he has made to raising awareness of the condition.
He was one of ten to receive the award, which celebrates those who have received extra years of quality life because of medical technology ? and who are dedicated to helping others receive the same.
