Zombies, vampires and a giant pig invaded River Street?s Rousakis Plaza on Saturday afternoon, dancing along to Michael Jackson?s creepy classic ?Thriller.?
Donning fangs, capes and tattered clothes, members of the local chapter of the American Diabetes Association kicked off the annual Kiss-a-Pig fundraising campaign, ?Diabetes Bites: Sink Your Teeth Into a Cure,? with a spooky-themed flash mob.
?The theme this year is vampires and zombies because diabetes is a scary thing,? said Dr. Scott Cohen, of the Cohen Dental Center and this year?s Southeast Georgia ADA campaign chair.
