Hello,

Just came back from the scan. I had a dish of oats before bed last night and I lasted fine through the fast and till I returnd home for breakfast.

The GP had told me that he requested the scan due to raised figures from my liver function tests and he wanted to be sure that they were being caused by the diabetes and not anything new and nasty.

They did a full abdomen scan today and said that it showed nothing obvious so it looks like the GP was correct it is the diabetes changing the liver figures.

Thanks for being there for the advice and support.

Steve.

hi there keltic nice that the abdoman scan showed nothing startling , unfirtunetly diabetes can cause all such of diffirence in our body that we woul'dnt even think it had anything to do with

Great news Steve! I have slightly abnormal liver readings, the GP thinks it may be due to something called Gilbert's Syndrome which results in raised levels of bilorubin, but she says it's nothing to worry about.

I've moved your thread to the General messageboard as you're not a newbie any more!🙂

Great news, glad it is nothing you can't handle. AT least it was checked, so one less thing to worry about.

Good news Steve.

I came out of hospital about four weeks ago - infection in gall bladder and septicaemia.
Going back in a couple of weeks with a view to removing gall bladder comlete with stones.
Had various scans but they were shoving stuff via the plumbing in my arms and controlling the diabetes with a sliding scale pump. Fasting for me wasn't a prob, but the preop one could be.
Seeing medic today to check on that.

Good news, i had slightly higher readings at my last blood test, GP told me to stop drinking! lol

Thanks

Yes thanks everyone.

It is a relief to see the back of that one and I suppose each time I come up against something new I can see it that I have learned a bit more ... but it's easier to see it that way after the event.

Please feel free to move me where you want Northerner but I do like the title Junior as it makes me feel young and not needing to be responsible.

My only problem now is how to stop Sharon eating my emergency supply of jelly babies.

have cut down!!! lol

How old do you have to be to be a junior member... i'd LOVE to be a junior again! lol

I'm afraid there's no going back - you lose the 'Junior' title once you go past 30 posts, and become a 'Senior' at 100 posts!🙂

lol god knows what the likes of me mike and addict are

hey northerner what do i get for being over the 3000 post mark??? lol

Hi Keltic

Glad everything went ok at your scan...at least your mind is a rest now.

Heidi
