Just saying hello to everyone...
My name is Sarah. I was diagnosed with Type 2 in 2012 mainly due to my weight - I've been overweight for most of my adult life. My partner was also diagnosed with Type 2 in Feb this year so we're on the diabetes path together!
On the whole my diabetes is under control but about four years ago my blood sugar and cholestrol shot up. Cue extra medication and a stern telling off with instructions to lose more weight. Since then I have lost around 3 and half stone (with plenty more to go!) and my blood sugar, cholestrol and blood pressure are all pretty much perfect!
I'm currently taking part in the One Million Step Challenge and on track to get to the one million, hopefully before the end of September, which I didn't think I would be able to do when I started it in July!
