Hello all

Just checking in. Got told earlier this year that I have type2.

This is after a couple of illnesses, for that reason I have been keeping fitter and eating healthy. So when I see the diabetes nurse for first time my readings were pretty good.

I don't want to take this for granted so will have to keep on top of it all.

Hi @Bodd and welcome to the forum. I hope you have been 'eating healthy' for a Type 2 diabetic, rather than the usual so-called healthy low fat,5 a Day, Whole grain stuff we were told was healthy until we got a Blood Glucose meter and discovered that for a Type 2 Diabetic it's anything but healthy since it raises our Blood Glucose!

Welcome to the forum @Bodd

Good to hear you have had good results from the changes you have made already.

Were you told your HbA1c at diagnosis? And has that changed since you’ve been trying to eat healthier?

Have you been offered any medication to help with your glucose management?

Are there any things that you are finding particularly tricky or difficult that forum members might be able to help with?
