saw my DSN today

i wish you could all have a DSN like mine ...had my checks today all good and apparently i have the kidney function of a teenager 😉
asked about testing again as i feel i need to keep an eye on things ...not a problem and ....not only did i get a script for strips i got a new meter aswell !!! 😱
its a gluco rx nexus very smart looking with a nice blue light to show you were to stick the strip !

Wow! That's great. I am jealous, although my care has improved dramatically since referral to the clinic, my surgery still has some way to go.

that made me smile ...apparently they are using this machine as the strips are ?9.00 a pot ...glad to see the price of strips are coming down

interesting reading cos when my DSN gave me it she showed it how it worked by checking her own bs ...5.5
i checked mine 10.5 😱😱 she said don't worry when and what did you eat ..i said 1 piece of toast and peanut butter 2x coffeee with milk ( The only coffee i drink all day ) ...about 1 hr ago ..she said no worries ...
i said my intention was to start with waking numbers again and then start testing my breakfast then lunches ...
following vics test tho I will be aware that it might read a bit high ...

It's great that you have such a good DSN 🙂. I have a really good DSN, worth her weight in gold, just a shame the rest of the team aren't as good. Great re yours kidneys too 🙂

yes i realise how lucky I am , another example was regarding my weight i am 79kg.... last june when i saw her i saw 80kg .....when i was dx 5 years ago i was 84kg
i said to DSN i sem to have always been this size and she said well thats probably my natural size. She went on to say that when younger she was a runner and was very lean ..no bum no boobs ...and now at 50 shes the same but about 2 sizes bigger ...I on the other hand was definately no runner 🙄😉 and am about 2 sizes bigger than my teen age years ...
