Is they anything i can do with sardines apart from put them on toast.... i usually have them either on there own out of the tin or on toast and im bored with it..

Cheers

How about dressing them in a bit of lemon juice and fresh thyme, salt and pepper and putting them in a salad? Or into a tomato sauce and having them over pasta? Anything you would do with tuna, you can do with sardines.

Personally, I would feed them to the cat, but my fantastic kitchen guru (partner) has plenty of inspiration and recipe ideas.....

I'm afraid that's all I ever done with them steffie! Hope someone comes along with some ideas, because I would be interested too 🙂

I have them on toast or in a salad..... I love them :D as already suggested if you eat any pasta they can be broken into pieces and added... yummy I also like them between 2 slices of bread as a sandwich. same with pilchards.... they are just a bit meatier 😉

Why not marinade in Olive Oil, lemon zest, oregano and chives for an hour, then grill and serve with lemon and a salad maybe?

I like savory Rice, you could chop the sardines and some herbs and add to savory Rice ( I sometimes buy mine from supermarket) Sheena x p s Or make a Kedgeree and use the Sardines instead of smoked Haddock x

Wow thanks girls, at thie rate northey we will be overwhelmed with ideas.:D
