Not sure I would be, given my lack of any ability to remain balanced! But when I worked in IT I used to walk to work and run home, beating all the traffic - including the cyclists, two of whom lived on my street! I was able to take a more direct route as a runner, although I could usually beat thm up hills too 🙂
 
shouldn't it be "you're healthier on a bicycle, than sitting on your butt all day"??

Same meaning, different impact.🙂

And why would they need to run away from geese ? They're lovely once you get to know them.:D

Here in London there used to be an annual race; I don't know if it's still on. Participants used to take a District Line train (Wimbledon branch), get off at South Kensington, sprint through the back streets to Fulham Broadway (passing Ian Dury?😉), and aim to get back on the same train. Due to the more direct route through the streets, it's quite possible for a good sprinter. 🙂
