A FORMER soldier running 100 marathons in 100 weeks has vowed to carry on despite being told he has cancer.

Simon Buckden, 39, had finished 44 marathons when he received the devastating diagnosis.

But despite doctors telling him to stop, the super-fit ex-squaddie who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder is desperate to finish his challenge to raise awareness of the condition.

He said: ?I?ve told my doctors I?m not stopping running. My cancer is life-threatening, but if I stopped I would feel I had let people down.?
