Stupidly i have forgot to get a repeat prescription of insulin and i will run out after my A.M injection,what is the best way to get an emergency supply ? Should i ring NHS direct ?

Does your chemist open on a Sunday? If so ask for a loan until new prescription. If not then ring your after hours Dr and ask for a prescription.

May I suggest you also always make sure you have some in hand just in case of breakages or a supply shortage.

We have all done it im sure.....ok im not on insulin but i am asthmatic, and have forgot or thought i would be ok till the next week and then come the weekend and thought oh s***!!!...i bet there are a lot of peeps who have made this mistake...hope you get your meds ok 🙂

Hope you've sorted some way of getting insulin by now, micbat.
Depending on your area, out of hours GP / local pharmacy (especially the one you usually use) / A&E dept might be able to help.
NHS Direct is good for signposting eg if you're away from home area, and advising which pharmacies are open on Sunday.
And, please try not to run out again 🙂
