Reading to patients on the wards, planting flowers and smiling at everyone are just some of the pledges being made to improve patient care at the Royal United Hospital.
As part of NHS Change Day on March 3, staff are being encouraged to make a pledge to do one thing to make the health service better.
So far at the RUH, 15 pledges have been made, with high hopes that more people will be signed up over the next month.
Programme manager Hester McLain has pledged to read stories to patients on the wards.
