heard this late last night which has got the alarm bells ringing -

Coronavirus swabs and other key NHS tests for conditions including cancer are under threat, after a supply chain failure at a major diagnostics company.

NHS trusts are advising to stop all non urgent blood tests! trouble is who is classed as non urgent! does it include diabetic tests?

That is a worrying news. So many tests have been delayed already.
I am glad that I have just had my pump supplies delivered!

In terms of pcr tests, the shortage may help correct (give a few less this week) the extra results added on this week from the excel spreadsheet error.

I spoke to AccuChek and they confirmed that they have a separate distribution centre for their insulin pump supplies, and that these will not be effected/affected (delete as appropriate -I still get them muddled) by the current difficulties that Roche are experiencing.

Don't currently need any pump supplies anyway - however what about Test Strips for their glucometers?

They make all sorts of test strips for eg dipping urine to test that for protein and other unwanted content so routinely used for new born babies. It ain't just tests on samples collected elsewhere and sent to labs.
