A diabetes charity set up by Leicester MP Keith Vaz has a new celebrity ambassador.
Mr Vaz has announced that India's rising music star, Raghu Dixit, is the new face of Silver Star.
"The charity is delighted that Raghu Dixit has accepted our invitation to be an ambassador for Silver Star," said the MP for Leicester East.
"It is so important that young people are made aware early of the risks of diabetes. By joining forces with Raghu, the charity will be able to reach a far wider audience and continue its mission to successfully educate people about the risks of diabetes."
The singer performed at The Donkey, in Welford Road, Leicester, tonight (Wednesday, July 25) as part of a UK tour, which follows appearances on Later with Jools Holland and The Andrew Marr Show.
