Hi there
This applies to type 1's but may to T2's also??
If I get up and my am bs is slightly raised - anywhere between 7 + 9 - I sometimes decided not to have breakfast straightaway and get on with stuff - usually if I test 2/3 hours later - and my bs levels have always risen by at least 2. Now I understand raised levels in the am can be from going low overnight - but this happens whether they are from that or whether they are raised because I had a large dinner - and expect them to be a bit high. In which case - rationally they should lower as the am goes on. Honestly - there is no rationale to diabetes sometimes! Does this happen to anyone else? Would be interesting to hear...
