I’ve been very successful with low carb and I managed to come off insulin and reduce my Metformin and Gliclazide to just 2 a day. But for the last couple of months blood sugars have been creeping up I believe it’s from insomnia stress and the anxiety I’m feeling any help or advice much appreciated

Hello @PurpePammi
Very well done on your success with low carb and in reducing your medication needs. That is a big achievement.

Stress can be a cause of raised readings, and it is quite difficult not to be anxious in these difficult times.
Another other cause of your high morning readings though could be something called Dawn Phenomenon

Well done on your terrific progress @PurplePammie and sorry to hear that you are having a stressful time and experiencing insomnia.

Stress certainly does have a reputation for increasing BGs. Are there any relaxation techniques you can try? And are you speaking to your GP about your stress and anxiety for support?
