Yesterday I went for my annual foot check and whilst I was there the nurse did the urine check and said that it contained loads of glucose and some protein so it has been sent off to the lab. Firstly, my blood was pretty stable all night and the sample was first morning before eating/drinking etc. and my waking BG was 6.0 ? why therefore would it contain loads of glucose? I am also concerned that it showed protein again, I had this monitored a while back as the consultant was concerned but my gp did 3 tests and said it was fine and I didn?t hear any more about it.

My levels are back to being a nightmare again too, with yesterday being particularly bad - BG 15-17 all evening last night, woke on 9.9 today.

Hi Newbs, it sounds to me as if someone somewhere needs to sit down with you and go over everything with you ie all tests done results and also start digging as to why things are so unpredictable. They also need to find solutions.
Hope something is sorted soon for you.

Thanks Sue. This is the first time in 13 years that I feel I've hit a brick wall. I'm waiting for the gastric study results and then will try to get an appointment with my diabetes consultant.

If you have problems getting an apt, write to him directly with your concerns he has to answer and I bet you will have an apt made for you that way.

I'd never have thought of writing directly, thanks for that tip! 🙂
