Last October I picked up a nasty infection which went on for over 3 months. Each time I tried to start the Sukkarto I had another bout. By January I my HbA1c was through the roof, and I was in Stage 1 kidney failure. 2 courses of strong antibiotics and by February the kidney function was still down but improving - enough to get clearance for the Sukkarto.

This week I'm pleased to say not only has my HbA1c dropped 17 points, but my kidney function is back to normal. So I've cooked one of my favourite dishes - Savoury Kidneys!!

Apart from your dodgy taste in dishes 😉 that's wonderful news

Haha! Wonderful.

Poetic justice if ever I heard it.

That is good news for you. 🙂
But it reminded me of when my aunt had to have a kidney removed, the first meal they offered her in the hospital was steak and kidney pie. She was not amused.

Haven't seen a snake & pigmy pie for ages husband not keen on pigmy at all, but I love em! Big treat for me years ago was attending a dinner with some Spaniards at a local restaurant in Almeria during fiesta week, where they were well known for serving traditional food - so one of the ladies chose brains on toast and I had an earthenware bowl of kidney stew finished with sherry - rinones al jerez - served with about half a - Spanish - baguette. Lurrvely!

Wow memories for me too Jenny I regularly ate Brains on toast and devilled kidneys in my Aussie childhood, yummy it was too.
Not had kidneys for years so I must get me some soon for my tea as a treat, my wife says I can cook them though as she won't even look at them. 😱
Best
