DOCTORS and nurses at a health trust have been criticised for an 'appalling' record which has seen hundreds of staff neglecting to have the flu jab.
Just one third of the mental health workforce in North Staffordshire came forward for the seasonal injections, despite pressure from their managers, it has emerged.
Psychiatrists and other medics at Combined Healthcare were the worst offenders, with nearly four in five not bothering to have the vaccinations which the Government recommends for all NHS staff.
Its nurses did little better with only 141 of 487 volunteering, while fewer than half its 154 therapists came forward.
